Thank you for using our bucket elevator. Please familiarize yourself with the following operating procedures before using this equipment:
I. Test Run
1. Before testing the bucket elevator, check for any debris inside the equipment, ensure that all lubricated parts are adequately lubricated, and ensure that all components are in good condition.
2. Once the test run conditions are met, manually crank the machine and observe whether there is any collision or friction between the traction member and the housing. If normal, connect the power supply and start the machine electrically and continuously.
3. During the test runs (empty and loaded), check whether the machine meets the design requirements. Observe for any material backflow and overall vibration.
II. Operation and Maintenance
1. After the bucket elevator has completed its test run, you can add material. Maintain a uniform feed rate. The feeder's capacity should be within the bucket elevator's rated capacity. Do not add large amounts of material suddenly or operate the machine overloaded.
2. Unless otherwise specified, do not stop the machine while it is loaded. If stopping the machine, stop adding material and empty the bucket completely before stopping. If multiple bucket elevators are used in a linked system, start the one that finished unloading last, then start each elevator one by one. The stopping order is the reverse of the starting order.
3. Cleaning, repairing, and adjusting the tensioning device are not permitted while the bucket elevator is operating.
4. When the bucket elevator is used for the first time or after approximately 200 hours of operation after repair, all connecting bolts must be re-tightened.
5. When the bucket elevator is operating normally, inspectors should regularly inspect and listen for looseness and wear on all moving parts, and listen for any unusual noises during operation. If any malfunction is detected, the elevator should be shut down for repair immediately. The elevator can only be restarted normally after the malfunction is corrected.
6. Maintain good lubrication of all lubricating parts on the bucket elevator, but be careful not to apply lubricating oil to the contact surfaces of the chain and the head and tail pulleys.
Bucket elevators have two tensioning methods: counterweight and screw. The screw should be adjusted regularly to maintain tension on the lower chain roller. This should be checked every two days (especially for chain elevators).
